COLA and fried (炸的) chicken always look yummy (美味的). But they're not all good. Doctors and scientists are now giving children advice on snacks (零食). They say they give you energy but may still leave you hungry. And if you eat too many snacks too often, it's not good for your health.

There are three main kinds of snacks. Some you can eat often but others you shouldn't. Look at the following list. Are you a smart eater?

You can eat these daily:

eggs, bananas, water-melon, apples, pears, tomatoes, potatoes, yogurt, milk.

These foods have little fat, sugar or salt (盐). They do you good.

You can eat these a few times a week:

black chocolate, cakes, raisins (葡萄干), cheese, milk ice cream, fruit ice cream.

These foods have some fat and sugar. But it's not good to eat too much of them or eat them too often.

You should eat very little of these:

candy (糖果), fried chicken, chocolate pie, potato chips, cola, ice cream.

These foods have lots of sugar, fat and salt. You can eat them sometimes. But remember: don't spoil yourself.
