It changes but never goes away

话题归类:热点话题Topical issues

原来我们和几亿年前的恐龙喝的是同样的水!

Water never stops moving. Snow and rain fall to the earth from the sky. That water runs down into rivers and lakes, and sometimes it makes waterfalls (瀑布). Finally, the water runs out into the sea.

How does water get up into the sky? It evaporates (蒸发) from the ground. The sun changes water into a gas (气体), and it goes up to make clouds. There, the cycle (循环) begins again.

The cycle tells us that water may evaporate and change into clouds or snow, but it's still water. The water you drink could be the same water that dinosaurs (恐龙) drank!

But too much of our water today has pollution in it. Our water may never go away, but a lot of it is becoming too dirty for us to drink!

Watch the water cycle

You need: 1) A jar with a cap (盖子). 2) Plants. 3) A bottle cap. 4) Soil (泥土). 5What to do: Fill the jar as in the picture below. Put the cap on. Put water in the bottle cap. Put the jar in a sunny place, and watch the water cycle!
