I. Lead-in:
Have you ever heard a famous story about a crow? If so, what happens in the story?
What do you think of crows? What skills do they have?
II. Fast-reading:
P1 p(     ): A story about how the crow solved the problem in Aesop’s Fables.
P2 p(      ): New research found to show crows’ brains may be better than those of 6-year-old children.
P3 p(     ): Another experiment proves that a bird could be more clever than a kindergartner.
III. Detailed reading:
1. Describe the story of the crow in Aesop’s Fables.
A thirsty crow comes across a bottle of water, but it can’t drink it because the water level is too low. Then the crow has an idea and drops small stones into it. Eventually, it gets to drink it. 
2. Find a sentence that gives the topic of part 2.
A new experiment has found that crows’ brains may sometimes be better than those of 6-year-old children.
3. What was the result of another experiment?
Children aged 7 to 10 were able to learn the rule, but children aged 4 to 6 failed. 
Five of the six crows failed the test, but Kitty, a 6-month-old crow, passed it .
