I. Pre-reading

•但做前置定语用第一种

Look at the sentence and pay attention to the structure of the sentences.

•sb is said to do/ to have done / to be doing 中不定式的用法 
•下面通过几个例句讲解一下:

•She is said to work as an actress. 
•2. People say that he has finished writing a novel.
•It is said that he has finished writing a novel.
•He is said to have finished writing a novel.
•3. Tom says that Lilly is going to Paris next year.
•It is said that Lilly is going to Paris next year.
•Lilly is said to be going to Paris next year. 
•Translate the sentences.
•听说玛丽要去那个城市工作。 
•Mary is said to work in the city. 
•听说玛丽曾经在那座城市工作过。 
•Mary is said to have worked in the city.
•听说玛丽正在那座城市工作。
•Mary is said to be working in the city.
 
Drones may soon deliver (P5)
I. Pre-reading
Do you know what drones (无人机) are? What can they do for people?
II. Reading
•According to the passage, what can drones be used to do?
•In the military, they attack targets (目标) or move goods in dangerous areas.
•They can be used to take selfies by extreme (极限的) sports fans.
•They can deliver goods to regular people.
•They can get around traffic on the ground.  
III. Vocabulary
Look at some sentences and try to figure out the meanings of the underlined words.

•可以修饰比较级的词: a little, a bit, much, even, still, a lot, a great deal, far, by far, rather, any等

•请问划线的部分各是什么从句?

•划线处为什么用what引导?
•第一句中,从句内部缺少主语
•第二句中,从句内部缺少宾语
•所以,不是从句中有what就是宾语从句;引导词用什么要看从句内部缺什么成分。
