Wu wowed the audience when performing in a section entitled “Feihualing”, reciting lines from the Classic of Poetry, the earliest collection of poems in China.

2. Why was Huang Zijin impressed by Wu Yishu?
Huang was impressed because of Wu’s classical looks, talents, and calm manner throughout the show.

1. Why do we learn poetry, and how should we learn it, according to the last three paragraphs?
We learn poetry to shape our view of life and develop our inner world.

We should perceive (理解) poetry from both the aesthetic and emotional sides, appreciate the rhythm and rhyme(韵律) of the lines, and the artistry and fun of poetry.

IV. Sentence structure
1. Pretty much within an hour, most of the paint was all over the room and I just sat there with my hands on my head thinking, “Oh my god, this girl is hopeless.”   
句中with my hands on my head 是with引导独立主格,其结构为:with+名词/代词+介词短语/形容词/副词/非谓语动词;thinking 是现在分词做伴随状语。 
2. What would have been a very theoretical experiment turned into a very practical experiment.u 
1)句中 What would have been a very theoretical experiment是what引导的主语从句。 
What he said at the meeting astonished everybody present.
2) 主语从句中是虚拟语气,would have done表示与过去事实相反。 
3. One of the things I realized from this is that everyone has a different way of learning things. 
句中I realized from this 是定语从句,省略关系代词that。that everyone has a different way of learning things 是表语从句。 
 
V. Vocabulary
1. She had so much fun dipping the brush in the paint and in the water bowl.   
have fun (in) doing sth.开开心心做某事 
have fun后常接动词-ing形式,其前的介词in可以省略。相当于enjoy oneself,have a good time。如: The boys are going to have fun (in) drawing the pictures. 
2. She starts to mess with buttons, and in that process, sometimes lands up teaching me things!  
land up: finally get into a particular place, situation or position after a lot of things have happened (经历很多事后)终于落到(某一处境) 
Eg. Be careful that you don’t land up in serious debt.当心,切勿债台高筑。
