1. What is a tabloid? 

A tabloid is a kind of newspaper known to be not as serious as other newspapers. Its pages are normally half the size of a “normal” newspaper, and you can buy them in supermarkets.

2. What does a tabloid contain?

You can read stories about crime, celebrities’ lives, sports and horoscope on a tabloid.  

3. Compared with regular newspapers, how do tabloids report crime stories?

A tabloid (小报) will normally give you a lot more details and even some horrible photos, including dead bodies covered in blood.

4. What can you read in a tabloid about celebrities’ lives?

You can also read all about celebrities’ lives, including who they are dating, what drugs they are using, who is friends with whom and, more importantly, who has made whom angry.

5. How can you learn about your own life from a tabloid?

You can read a horoscope to learn more about your own life and get advice. It will tell you what is going to happen to you this week, and it is based on your birth date and the group of stars that guide you.
