experimental purpose To see if boys really perform better than girls in math and science.
experimental subject The collected exam results of 15-year-old students from 74 countries and regions.
experimental process The researchers compared the two groups’ scores at different stages of the tests. They also analyzed another database with more than 400 math tests, which lasted longer than PISA’s two hours.
experimental conclusion The study found that girls when tests last longer, girls perform steadily while boys’ scores begin to drop off. This includes math and science.
