Part 2 Read and answer 1.Why is veganism beneficial to the environment? 2.What is the ethical reason for veganism? (Answers 1. •Because producing meat and dairy products is known to be stressful for the environment. •According to a 2013 study, global meat manufacturing causes 18 percent of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. The figure is higher than all the world’s cars, trains and planes combined. 2. •Many young people think it’s wrong to kill animals for food. They realize that eating animals is a choice that people make, rather than something that we must do to survive.)
