The moon is about 250,000 miles (384,400 kilometers) from Earth.
If you travelled to the moon by car it would take you 130 days
If you travelled to the moon by rocket it would take you 13 hours
If you travelled to the moon by light speed it would take you 1.52 seconds.
Neil Armstrong was an American astronaut and the first person to walk on the moon.

but they’re always there waiting for us to grow up.

III. Discussion:
1. What’s the meaning of the title?
Mom did everything for the writer, so her hands became rough. She didn’t understand that because she was young. After growing up, when she had her own children, she did the same things to her children. Her mom still cares for her though she’s not young. Only then did the writer truly understand  how great her mom was and showed her new appreciation.

2. What can we do for our mom?
Make her a nice meal.
Buy some flowers or a small gift on her birthday/Mother’s Day/Women’s Day.
Tell some jokes to her.
Help her do some chores, liking doing the dishes, doing the laundry etc.

Read the poem

There is no love, like a mother's love
A mother’s love is forever strong,
never changing for all time.
And when her children need her most,
a mother's love will shine.
Be thankful for our mothers’ love.
