Why was Princess Diana seen as “the people’s princess”?
Because people felt a strong connection to her. She was seen as a classic “English Rose” with a naturally attractive face and fair complexion, and was known to be a good and kind person. V. Summary
Fill in the blanks with proper words or phrases.
It __has been____ (be) 20 years since Diana, Princess of Wales lost her life in a car crash on August 31, at the age of 36. And while it was true that she was a beloved figure to the British public, it wasn’t until her death __that____ the true scale (级别) of Britain’s affection for Diana was revealed.
After news of her death ____was released_____ (release) in 1997, there were massive shows of public mourning (哀悼). It seemed that half the country was __in____ tears, as if Diana were a member of their own family instead of a figure they only knew from newspapers and TV.
But the tears and mourning didn’t happen __for___ no reason. To many, Diana was a fairytale princess. She was seen ___as___ a classic “English Rose” with a naturally ____attractive____ (attract) face and fair complexion (肤色), and was known to be a good and kind person.
But neither of these ___factors____ (因素) really ____accounted for_____ (说明……的原因) the public’s grief after her death. In truth, the people thought of her as one of their own. Of course, she was far too posh to have lived in the next street to a regular person, but people still felt a strong _____connection____ (connect) to her. She led __by___ example, working with many charities over the years.
Lead by example 以身作则,率先垂范
e.g.: Good leaders must lead by example.
It could be the fact ___that____ Diana was an outsider, someone whom “the establishment” was against, ___that_____ made her so relatable to everyday people.

VI. Enjoy a song for Diana
Goodbye England's rose,
May you ever grow in our hearts.
You were the grace that placed itself
Where lives were torn apart.

You called out to our country,
And you whispered to those in pain.
Now you belong to heaven,
And the stars spell out your name.

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind,
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in.

And your footsteps will always fall here
Along England's greenest hills.
Your candle burned out long before,
Your legend ever will.

Loveliness we've lost.
These empty days without your smile,
This torch we'll always carry
For our nation's golden child.

And even though we try,
The truth brings us to tears.
All our words cannot express
The joy you brought us through the years.

Goodbye England's rose,
From a country lost without your soul,
Who'll miss the wings of your compassion
More than you'll ever know.

(by Elton John )

While it seems like AI is becoming more “intelligent” and less “artificial” all the time, when it comes to creativity, perhaps this is one job that software should leave to us humans.
