An introduction to Feng Zikai and his comics.

1. What were the characteristics of Feng Zikai's comics?
He used traditional Chinese water and ink techniques to paint modern scenes from everyday life.
 
2. What themes did Feng Zikai's comics typically feature?
Feng saw the peace and beauty in life.
Feng also painted to draw attention to social problems.
 
What social problems did Feng pay attention to?
Feng cherished the purity of childhood.
Feng saw the cruelty of war.
 
3. What was Feng’s attitude towards life?
Feng knew much hardship and saw a lot of darkness. However, he was still able to take pleasure in life.

2. What are the meanings of your dreams?
According to Chinese legends, Zhougong can interpret dreams.
 
If you dream of a sunset, then your parents might be sad.
Dreaming of a snake is a sign that good luck will soon come your way.
If you dream about your own wedding, it is a sign that you will soon be separated from your wife.
 
3. Why can some people recall their dreams better than others?

2. Ruby found that high-recall dreamers have twice as much “wakefulness time” during sleep as low-recall dreamers do.
倍数表达法:
A is three times as big as B  
= A is three times the size of B
= A is two times bigger than B
e.g. Asia is four times as large as Europe.
亚洲的面积是欧洲的两倍。
3. affect sth
 = have an effect/influence/impact on sth 对……有影响
have a negative/positive effect on 对……有消极/积极影响
e.g. It is uncertain _____ effects the new medicine will have on children, though it has been tested on adults.
