Have you ever seen these movies?

All these movies are about superheroes, and they are all produced by  the famous Marvel Studios.


II. Skimming 
What is the main idea of the passage?
It is about the new movie Spider-Man into the Spider Verse.

III. Scanning 
Read the passage and answer the questions.
1. Who are the characters in the new movie?
They are six Spider-Beings, including a woman and a pig.

2. What is the relationship between Peter Parker and Miles Morales?
Peter Parker acts as the trainer of Morales, hoping that Morales can replace him as Spider-Man one day.

3. What problems do Parker and Morales have in their real life?
Parker:  divorced; suffers from depression.
Morales: can’t fit in at school due to racism against his minority family.

4. How are the six superheroes different and how are they similar?
Similarity: the same sense of purpose
Difference: from wildly different worlds

5. What message does the movie intend to convey?
Anyone, whoever he is or wherever he comes from, can be Spider-Man, a hero, an inspiration.

分析:划线部分为why 引导的表语从句。
释义:这就是他一直训练高中生Morales ,希望将来有一天能代替他成为蜘蛛侠的原因。

5. Anyone, no matter who you are or where you come from, can be Spider-Man.
分析:no matter who引导让步状语从句,可以用whoever代替。
No matter who is in charge of the company, you can ask him.
= Whoever is in charge of the company, you can ask him.

注意:在让步状语从句中既可以用no matter who 引导,也可以用whoever 引导;但是在名词性从句中,只能用whoever 引导。
