As to the solution of this problem, I believe it’s the government’s responsibility to raise people’s awareness of gender equality. As citizens, we should also try to discuss the problem more and not be influenced by gender stereotypes. Only in this way can we create an atmosphere where men and women share equal respect and treatment.
As is vividly shown in the passage, gender inequality still exists for various reasons, even between boys and girls.
Such a phenomenon is not uncommon in today’s world. One reason behind the issue is that many people have long held the view that men are superior to women in that men are more powerful, rational and competent. On top of this, the belief that men and women are born for different tasks also accounts for gender inequality.
