What’s the content of the film?
The movie centers on the story of seven neighbors trapped in an elevator at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak. One of them – a Chinese woman – coughs, and panic follows. 

III. Reading for details 
Read the text carefully and answer the following questions.
1. What is the director’s inspiration?
The idea came to the director, Mostafa Keshvari, when he was in an elevator reading news about Chinese tourists being attacked, and he got the idea to make a movie about the virus that was set in an elevator.

2. What helped the cast to show people’s fear of the virus?
In order to show people’s fear of the virus, the director encouraged his cast to underline their fright at both being trapped in an elevator and fearing possible coronavirus infection. 

3. What goals does the film aim to achieve?
 It hopes to explore an important question: What should we do to combat fear of the virus? 
It also wants to help confront and combat xenophobia and encourage people all over the world to cooperate together.

IV. Post-reading 
Here is the headline and article published in an American newspaper. What would you say to those who discriminate against Asian people?
 

    This labeling of the illness is embarrassing, disrespectful, offensive and downright disgusting.
    COVID-19 has made many of us fearful and anxious, but that’s not an excuse to blame others. Racism and COVID-19: Let’s not let this be the racism virus.
    It is the misinformation about the disease that has led to the stereotype of an entire group.
    The human race has to come together to defeat the virus at this challenging moment. Racism does no good to anyone.


How to battle negative feelings during the pandemic?
    reach out to loved ones around us or electronically
    try to maintain schedule as usual
    avoid following the COVID-19 news if that adds to stress
    distract yourself from the negative information and cultivate some new hobbies

V. Understanding sentences
