Think and discuss What qualities do we see in heroes? Smart, strong, selfless, caring, charismatic(有号召力的), resilient (灵活的), reliable, and inspiring.
What must they do to win our admiration? They can overcome their weaknesses and do great things for people.
Extended reading Heroes nurture us when we’re young — Our research has shown that when people are asked to name their own personal heroes, the first people who often come to mind are parents and caretakers. All of us owe whatever success we’ve had in life to the people who were there for us when we were young, weak, and developing. When we recognize the great sacrifices (牺牲) that these nurturers and caretakers (养育者) have made for us, we’re likely to call them our heroes.
