Reading & Discussion
What to do when caught in the rain according to Franco Bocci
Fill in the blank with the proper word in the rewritten passage.
Whether you should run or walk when it starts to rain depends on the wind’s direction and your body’s shape. When there is no wind and the rain falls on you directly, you should run as fast as possible. When the wind blows the rain on your back, you should walk at the same speed as the wind, so that your front and back will stay mostly dry. But when the wind blows in from the side, a larger person is hit by more raindrops than a thinner person, so it is better to run away from the rain.
In general, the best thing to do in the rain is to run. If you have no umbrella, the best is to run as fast as you can.
