       University of Oxford is the oldest university in the English-speaking world and it's one of the top universities in the world. There is no clear date when the university started, but teaching began at Oxford in some forms in 1096 and developed quickly from 1167.                        

       There are 39 independent (独立的) colleges at Oxford, attracting students and learned men from across the world. There are over 100 libraries. At University of Oxford, they also provide money for the best students. Of course, if you want to study here, you first have to reach a certain level of English language ability.

       College life at Oxford is very exciting but busy. The college groups provide a friendly and welcoming home for students while the colleges are strict about studies. Many Chinese students are studying here. The number of Chinese students at the university has grown quickly over the past 10 years.

    Pi Day is celebrated on March 14. Math enthusiasts（爱好者） know all about it, and the rest of the population is probably hoping for cherry pie.

    Pi Day started 28 years ago at San Francisco’s Exploratorium(探索博物馆). Physicist Larry Shaw, who worked in the electronics group at the museum, started celebrating pi on March 14, 1988, primarily with museum staffers. The tradition has grown to embrace（信奉） math enthusiasts from all walks of life.

    This year, the Exploratorium is hosting a day-long celebration at its facility on Pier 15, including a Pi Procession(背诵), pi “exportable”(探索) and servings of pie.

Pi Day is also Albert Einstein’s birthday. In Princeton, New Jersey, where Einstein lived for more than two decades, signs of the scientist permeate the Pi Day festivities, which span five days
