Day 5
阅读下面的信件并根据内容选出最佳答案。
Dear editor,
I am writing to tell your readers about my terrible experience at Lucky Choice Seafood Restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui. Last weekend was my friend’s birthday. She loves seafood, so I took her to Lucky Choice.
As soon as we sat down, a waiter recommended (推荐) the Garoupa to us, saying that it had just arrived and was offered at a low price. We ordered it and a few other dishes. The fish tank behind us was full of dead fish. We could only hope that our Garoupa was not one of them. The kitchen door was opened and we could look inside clearly. To my surprise, the chef (厨师) was smoking while preparing food.
The restaurant is supposed to be new, but the hygiene (卫生条件) was terrible. There were ants crawling (爬) on the tablecloth. We didn’t feel like eating before the dishes arrived.
The Garoupa came first. It didn’t look fresh. The fish eyes were running out. We had the first bite (咬一口) and threw it up at once. It tasted terrible. We were very angry and complained to the manager (经理) at once. To my surprise, the manager did not apologize (道歉) to us. Instead, he said: “If you don’t like the food, get out!” He was so rude. He opened the door and asked us to leave at once.
The treatment we received at Lucky Choice Seafood Restaurant is totally unacceptable (不可接受的). As a restaurant, they should follow hygiene rules. They should not offer food that isn’t fresh. Do they know that dirty food can kill? Poor food and bad service will ruin Hong Kong’s reputation as a food paradise (天堂). We cannot afford to lose this in the economic downturn (经济衰退). I hope the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department will look into the matter and help Lucky Choice Seafood Restaurant to improve their service.
Chris Wong
