Most people in Britain live in small family groups. More than 25 percent of houses in Britain have only one person in them. Some of these are old people, but some are around 20 or 30 years old. And 35 percent of houses have two people in them; another 17 percent have three people. And 15 percent have four people in them, while the other homes have five or more. Now, British parents usually have no more than two children. When the children are about 18 or 19, they leave their parents’ home and go to a different city.
