1. The EU is now China’s largest trading partner, while China is the EU’s second-largest after the US. The trade between the two is worth more than 1 billion euros (8.56 billion yuan) per day, according to China’s General Administration of Customs. 

2. However, the increasingly close ties do not mean EU-China relations are not without any problems, including trade disputes. Xi hopes the two sides will conduct friendly consultations to handle these issues.
