3. Did self-doubt get in the way of his success? Why?
•No, because he knew that “the more a project scares you, the more that probably means it’s worth doing”.

4. Why was La La Land a challenging movie to make?

3. He has a habit of (习惯于) worrying that everything will go wrong and that people won’t like his stories, even if the fact that he went to Harvard Film School is enough for many people to feel jealous.
Note:主句and连接两个由that引导的从句,共同作worrying的宾语; even if…引导让步状语从句;从句中的主语为the fact, 其后的that he went…是同位语从句,对抽象名词fact的内容进一步解释说明。

4. But self-doubt didn’t stop Chazelle from trying, because he knew that “the more a project scares you, the more that probably means it’s worth doing”. (越…就越…)
Note: the more…the more…结构的意思为:越……,就越……

5. To Chazelle, perhaps, no matter how scared he is, trying new ideas is always more important than staying in his comfort zone.
Note: 本句no matter how…引导了让步状语从句,主句中用了trying和staying动名词形式分别作主语和宾语。
