1. What is birthright citizenship?

It is a policy promising that anyone born in the United States would be its citizen from their first breath.  

2. When did the policy come into being? 

The policy came into being 150 years ago.  

3. Who will be banned from claiming a US birthright? 

Babies born in the US to parents who aren’t US citizens.   

4. Was Trump correct when he said the US is the only country that has birthright citizenship? 

No. In fact, about 30 countries have a policy similar to birthright citizenship, such as Canada and Mexico.

•Do you like wuxia novels? Do you know any wuxia writers? 

Louis Cha Leung-yung, one of the most influential Chinese novelists, and better known under the pen name Jin Yong, died on Oct 30 in Hong Kong.

Cha was most famous for his wuxia, or martial arts and chivalry, novels. Over 300 million copies of his works have been sold in the Chinese-speaking world.

He left behind 15 classic novels that show his view of the world.

Jin Yong is regarded as the most famous martial arts novelist in history. His books have been translated into several languages and millions of copies of his works have been sold around the world. 

He left behind 15 classic novels that show his view of the world.

He turned his novels into an “encyclopedia” of Chinese history, medicine, geography, and philosophy.

Jin Yong’s books are also full of traditional Chinese  philosophy. The different martial arts schools in his novels follow the philosophies of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.

•6. Why do we say Jin’s works will last forever? 

Because Jin Yong’s books are full of traditional values and qualities that will never die out.
