What’s the main idea of the article?
The change of the Instagram aesthetic being perfect to being authentic.

Read the text carefully and answer the following questions.
1.What was the previous Instagram trend? 
Almost everyone wants to make themselves and their things look effortless and perfect.

2.What do understand by the word, “Instagrammable”?
The word indicates that taking an Instagram photo has become a near-automatic way of seeing a place, any place. 

3.Which is the new Instagram trend?
People want to be more authentic. For example, people have been posting “Instagram vs reality” photos to show the real side of themselves.
One Instagram user, 22-year-old Reese Blutstein, has attracted over 238,000 followers since she began posting unfiltered photos of herself in strange outfits.

4.Why is the new trend becoming popular?
“For my generation, people are more willing to be who they are,” said Blutstein. “We are trying to show a real person doing cool things as a real person, not trying to create a persona that isn’t actually you.”

Understanding sentences

a kind of fish called African cichlids (非洲丽鱼科鱼)

experimental method
Researchers used computer software to monitor the fish’s movements.

experimental procedure
In the study, researchers  trained African cichlids to go to a certain area of their tank to get food. They then waited for 12 days before putting them back in the tank again.

experimental conclusion
They found that even after such a long break the fish still went to the same place where they first got food, which suggested that they could remember their past experiences.

A good memory plays an important part when a fish is trying to survive in the wild.
For a long time, fish were placed far below chimpanzees, dolphins and mice on the list of smart animals. But this study has given scientists a new understanding of their intelligence.

Understanding sentences
1. It’s a popular belief that fish can’t remember anything for longer than seven seconds.
that在此处引导同位语从句，后面是belief的内容。常见的可接同位语从句的抽象名词有news, idea, fact, promise, question, doubt, thought, hope, message, suggestion, word (消息), possibility, decision等

他留言说可能会晚一点来。
He left a message that he would probably be a little late.

2. This suggested that they could remember their past experiences.
suggest此处的意思为“表明”，后面句子的时态和suggest保持一致，当suggest意为“建议”时，后面that从句用虚拟语气的用法，动词为should+do的形式，should可以省略。Experience意为“经历”，为可数名词，当意为“经验”时，为不可数名词。

她建议他去看医生。
She suggested that he should go to see a doctor.
我有一些时装设计方面的经验。
I had some experience in fashion design.

3. So next time you are watching your pet fish from outside the tank, perhaps you should feel closer to them – they may remember who you are.
next time此处为名词用作连词的用法，类似的词有the first time/ the second time/ the last time/ every time/ the instant/ the minute/ the second 等
