   People wear color-correcting glasses.

2. What is the new method of treating colorblindness?
People can wear customized contact lenses designed by engineers who applied the same technology used in the color-correcting glasses.

Color-correcting glasses are commercially available but significantly bulkier.
Contact lenses can be customized, compact and durable.
