2. What are the possible reasons for violence and student injury near schools?
Students are relatively young and vulnerable. Also, some people treat attacking innocent students as an effective way to attract attention and express their own discontent.
3. What should be done to better protect students according to the passage?
1.Schools at all levels should offer emergency training and drills for students and strengthen the restriction on entering.
2.Parents should also cooperate with schools to ensure student safety between school and home.
3.Local public security authorities need to check whether schools have hired enough security guards and have installed surveillance cameras and a police report system.
4.Cities around the country should take preventative measures like hiring enough security guards to frequently patrol around schools.
5.Community workers should check the environment around schools such as small hotels, internet cafes and “recreational sites” to ensure no potential danger.
