If students don't get enough sleep, they may have many problems with their studies. Many students fall asleep at school or while doing their homework. So they get worse grades than others. Many people think middle school students should have about nine hours of sleep a night, or they may feel tired and forgetful. But why aren't students getting enough sleep? Most students have at least one of the following things: too much homework, a mobile phone or a computer in their bedrooms. So many students can't fall sleep before 11:00 pm. But they have to get up early for school the next day.

On Christmas Eve, children all over Britain put a stocking at the end of their beds before they go to sleep. Their parents usually tell them that Father Christmas will come during the night. He will get on the top of each house and climb down the chimney into the fireplace. Then, he will fill each of the stockings with Christmas presents.
Of course, Father Christmas isn't real. In Jim and Kate's house, Mr Green does this job. He waits until the children are asleep. Then, he quietly goes into their bedrooms and fills their stockings with small presents. When they were very young, Mr Green sometimes wore a red coat. But he doesn't do that now. The children are no longer young, and they know who "Father Christmas" really is. But they still put their stockings at the end of their beds.

Thank you to all the competitors. I know you want to hear the results. It was a very difficult decision, and I’ll start with the band that came in fourth. That’s Texas Team. They are the youngest group here today. Unfortunately, someone played the violin very quietly, and we couldn’t hear him clearly. So, bad luck for Texas Team. Third was Eastside. They are such good dancers that they should enter a dance competition. And with a bit more practice with the music, they’ll do very well. In second place is Third Avenue. They did well, especially the young man who played the guitar, but the singer looked so unhappy that we thought maybe he didn’t want to win! Never mind, you nearly won. Better luck next time. Congratulations to The Storm. They are our winners today. The singer had such a great voice that we had to give them first place. Well done!
